In response to overwhelming customer concern we have eliminated GM
ingredients from all our own brand products. This was a considerable
task, involving over 10,000 products.

Our policy covers soya protein, soya oil, soya lecithin, maize protein,
maize starch and maize oil. We're continuing to review additives and
derivatives.

We're also working closely with our suppliers to produce the lowest
possible levels of GM material in non-GM crops, and are now turning our
attention to GM material in animal feed.  We already offer a wide range
of organic alternatives to customers who are concerned about the use of GM
material in animal feeds.

Regarding products not made by us, you will need to contact them directly
to make your views known. Many manufacturers have care lines who will be
happy to hear your opinions. You can find their numbers on the packaging
of their products.
